GBPUSA-CAPITAL          CAMPAIGN

Great Ball Player, USA (GBPUSA) is 501(c) (3) organization whose overall mission is to enable a community environment where young people can interact through sports and meaningful recreational activities while acquiring capacity building life skills as they work toward a better future. To make a difference, we rely on the generous support of individuals and businesses in our communities. This letter is to humbly solicit a donation for our cause.

 

In 2021, we rebuilt a basketball court that had not been used for over 30 years in New Kru Town, an underprivileged community. The new court includes stadium-like seating to accommodate 200 spectators and perimeter fence to secure the property. The new basketball court is now being used by the youth in that community and the surrounding areas. Mama Jama Ultimate Sports Youth Basketball, a sister organization and partner recently hosted a four-week basketball camp and skill training clinics for kids between the ages of 7-13 at our facility. Our 2023 capital campaign goal is to raise $50K which will allow GBPUSA to continue to make a difference in these underserved communities. Our primary project for 2023 is to provide two new and/or refurbished basketball courts in Monrovia.

Your tax-deductible donation to our capital campaign, will directly impact youth in many aspects including: increasing their physical activity and health, forming social and community bonds, improving academic potential; improve personal and leadership skills; increase self confidence and self-esteem and most importantly, improve mental and moral qualities. Acquisition of these skills will help them recognize their value as an individual and take responsibility for their own success.
